Linteris

A family name, and a quiet corner of the web for my writing.

Hi, I’m Chris Linteris. Linteris isn’t a name you come across every day, so I keep this page as a simple, friendly home for it, and as the place where my writing projects meet.

I live in West Palm Beach, Florida. I’m a husband, a father, a commercial banker by trade and a writer in my spare time.

On the name

Why a page for a name?

Names carry stories. Ours is an uncommon one, and I like the idea of it having a simple, welcoming home on the web.

This is where our family shares a few of our own stories, kept simple and personal. It’s a place for the name, for the things I write and for the people who find them.

Our story

The drive south

In December 2020 we packed up our young family and two dogs and drove toward West Palm Beach with no real plan. Almost a year later, over coffee by the Delaware River, we decided to make Florida home.

About me

A little background

I started my working life in 2004 as a part-time bank teller at Commerce Bank (later TD Bank), trained as a commercial lender, became the first dedicated commercial and industrial lender at a New Jersey commercial bank, and later spent five years as chief financial officer of Wonder Food Group. Today I work in commercial lending in Florida. I studied finance at The College of New Jersey and am a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

All of that gave me a front-row seat to how ordinary businesses and people build something that lasts. Writing is how I’m trying to pass a little of it along.
